Wow Davao

Touchdown Davao!

We took the first flight of Zest Air going to Davao in the morning of August 9.

Upon arrival, we headed for an Eat All You Can breakfast at Saluhan Restaurant for only P99 each!

After a sumptuous breakfast, our cab service brought us to the residence of the Ampatuans. It's obviously not well maintained anymore since the Ampatuan brothers went to jail but the house itself is surprising, with it's one entire block long. This made it somehow now a tourist spot aside from being the house of the Ampatuans. Below is a picture of one its gates.

We didnt spend much time on the area though coz it's scary, not to mention that there was a bomb scare in Davao during our tour.

We spent our first day in Davao visiting places like the Eden Garden wherein I was amazed with their collection of Pine Trees. It is owned by the Ayalas and it took them 25 yrs to build the garden before they opened it to the public, with all their varieties of different plants and trees.

My cousin also enjoyed fishing at the fish pen with huge tilapias. He caught 3 big fishes that has been cooked to "punaputok".

I also had the chance to see a real Durian and its trees, though i didnt really taste it because i could hardly take the smell. I was able to manage to try Marang, unfortunately i also didnt like it as mych as the Mangosteen.

We also visited the Crocodile Farm, Sul Orchids Farm and the Philippine Eagle Center. Luckily since it was a Saturday, Crocodile Farm had some animal shows and the best of all was the Fire Dance of the Tribu Kamindanaoan. My first time to watch a live fire dance!

Our 2nd day was a trip to Samal Island. This this has been months ago, forgive me if i cannot vividly remember how to get to the Pier and to Samal anymore plus how much. My apologies.
At Samal Island...

We stayed at Bluejaz Resort the entire day. :-)

Before heading back to our hotel, with my insistence, we dropped by SM City Lanang.

Chillin at Starbucks, SM Premier Lanang, Davao with the new addition in my Starbucks City Tumbler Collection! :-)

Davao's famous taxi: Visa Cab and Master Cab, credit card ang peg! The cabs come in pink, blue, orange and black colors. The black ones have the real POS, accepting major credit cards!
